Privacy policy

This page explains what we hold about you when you apply for membership or become a member, why we hold it, and what you can ask us to do with it.

Who we are

Aegis Private Correspondence is a private correspondence administration service operating in the United Kingdom. We are the data controller for the information described on this page.

What we hold

When you apply, we hold your name, your email address, your phone number if you give it, the situation you describe, and the membership plan you are interested in.

As a member, we also hold copies of the documents you send us, drafts we prepare for you, and the record of correspondence we send on your instruction.

Why we hold it

To review your application and reply to you. To open and run your case file. To write to the organisations you authorise us to contact. To keep a record of what was sent, to whom, and when. To administer your monthly membership.

What we share

We write to the organisations you tell us to write to, and we send them only what an email requires. We do not sell your information, and we do not pass it to anyone else for their own purposes.

How long we keep it

For as long as your membership is active. After it ends, we keep your file only as long as we need it to answer queries about work we carried out and to meet our own record-keeping obligations.

Your rights

You can ask what we hold about you, ask us to correct anything wrong, ask us to delete information we no longer need, or object to how we are using it. Write to us and we will respond within one month.

Contact

To exercise any of these rights, or to ask a question about this policy, use the contact details in the footer of our site.
